Partying and sustainability during the Gentse Feesten
This year’s Gentse Feesten attracted more than 1.6 million visitors. With our all-in-one terminals that accepted both cash and card payments, the organizers of the Korenmarkt showed how a user-friendly, but also environmentally conscious experience is possible for partygoers at the Korenmarkt.
Efficiency and convenience at the Korenmarkt
With 45 payment terminals spread across 7 bars, 2 cocktail bars and 1 jenever bar, the bar staff offered the ability to handle orders smoothly. Visitors could pay quickly and easily, resulting in shorter queues at the bars and more time to enjoy the live performances at the Korenmarkt.
Cashless payments
Introducing cashless payment solutions not only made paying for visitors easier, but also more secure. Eliminating the need for cash offered a seamless experience that emphasized partying and fun, without the hassle of change or bills.
Beyond Ordering’s integrated deposit system in combination with QR refund for the last cup
Sustainability was high on the agenda of the city of Ghent and organizers, which is why they used Beyond Ordering’s integrated deposit system. With every order, the deposit for the reusable cups was automatically charged. The deposit of returned dirty cups were settled using the all-in-one terminals.
The deposit of the last cup was easily refunded with QR refund.
This combined approach motivated visitors to return the reusable cups, resulting in less waste and a positive impact on the environment.
